Protocol Magazine is a student-run publication based at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. At first an independent initiative, Protocol became affiliated with the St Andrews Students' Association in 2018. Protocol is now governed by a Constitution, which can be read here.
By providing high-quality analysis, commentary, and review, we - the Protocol Team - strive to promote awareness and encourage an all-encompassing study of human rights issues. We do not pretend that there is a single, comprehensive definition or understanding of human rights but instead aim to propagate a diversity of interpretations.
We hope that our audience will not just read our articles, but also engage with them. Debate pressing and controversial issues with your friends and fellow students. Become involved with campaigning, fundraising, or volunteering. We now include links to donate to charities helping those mentioned in our articles. We hope that our passion will inspire you to do what you can to make our world a better place.
